Day out fishing with the Cancer and Pisces Trust
We recently had the privilege to be invited to visit the Swinton Estate in Masham, North Yorkshire by the Cancer & Pisces Trust. The trust is actually a ‘club’ ran by fishing entrepreneur and guide Marina Gibson and is an angling club dedicated to cancer sufferers and their carers. This is the second year that we’ve been invited along, our young people are taught how to fly fish, how to make a fly and most importantly – how to cast. The best part – they can take home their catch at the end of the day! Both times we’ve been blessed with gorgeous weather.
It’s such a fantastic way to explore a potential hobby and from the moment we step off the minibus, we receive a warm welcome from the team of experienced fishers, volunteers and staff.
