Support for Parents

Support for Parents

Supporting parents whose children have cancer is very important, due to the significant emotional, financial, and practical challenges patients and families face.

As part of this project we aim to develop our own resources and a support group for parents, if you would like to part of this work or have suggestions on what type of resource you would like us to develop, that would help you during this challenging time, please get in touch via the form.

“You will need lots of support so take it, the journey is far harder than any of us realise. Support comes in many forms, practical support with work, family commitments, other children, financial support, emotional support for yourselves and for those closest to your child, there is support there from many sources that you won’t realise, the social workers, friends, families, the charities, and from the wider kids cancer community.

Take it wherever you can.

Don’t try and be a hero”.
